The Hedgerow is built for the kind of hedge most gardens actually have: box, privet, laurel and beech, cut once or twice a season rather than every fortnight. The 24 in. dual-action bar moves both blades against each other, which halves the vibration you feel through the handles and leaves a cleaner cut than a single-action bar of the same length.
It takes stems up to 3/4 in., which covers everything on a domestic hedge and most of what has grown out of one. The wrap-around front handle lets you hold it comfortably at any angle, including flat over the top of a hedge, and a two-hand switch means it will not start unless both hands are where they should be. At 8.4 lb it is light enough to hold at shoulder height for the length of a hedge run.
Blades are laser-cut, diamond-ground and coated so sap wipes off. The 40V pack and charger are included and are shared with the Ridgeline mower, the Trailhead trimmer and the Gustwind blower.

Care
Remove the battery before you clean the blade or fit the guard. Wipe the bar down with an oily rag after each use – sap left on the steel is what causes the blades to bind next spring. Store it with the supplied scabbard on, hanging blade-down so any moisture runs off the teeth.
