Privacy Policy

Lawnower collects the minimum personal information needed to take an order, ship it and answer your questions. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we never pass it to advertisers.

1. Who is responsible for your data

We never see or store your full card number, expiration date or security code. Those go straight to Stripe.

3. When we share information

We share personal information only with the service providers who make the store work, and only with what they need:

• Stripe, Inc. – payment processing and fraud checks. Stripe receives your card data directly, plus your name, email and billing address.
• USPS and UPS – delivery. They receive your name, shipping address and phone number.
• Our web host and email provider – they store the site and our mailbox on our instructions.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We disclose information to a public authority only where the law requires it.

4. Cookies

The site sets a small number of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies – the shopping cart, the checkout session and the security token – are always on, because the store cannot function without them. Any statistics or preference cookies are only set after you agree to them in the consent banner.

The banner is run by Complianz and groups cookies into Functional (always on), Statistics and Marketing / preferences. You can change your mind at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The full list is in our cookie policy.

5. Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails to people who asked for them. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Order confirmations, dispatch notices and replies to your questions are service messages, not marketing, and are sent whether or not you subscribe.

6. How we protect your information

The whole site runs over HTTPS. Access to order data is limited to the people who pack and support orders, and is protected by unique accounts and two-factor authentication. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe under PCI DSS Level 1 certification. No system is perfect, but we do not keep data we do not need, and we delete it when the retention period above runs out.

7. Your choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
• delete your information, where we are not required to keep it for tax or legal reasons;
• stop sending you marketing email.

Email us and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not hand your data to somebody else.

8. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; the right to delete it; the right to correct it; the right to opt out of its sale or sharing; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of – but you may still exercise any of the other rights by emailing us. You may use an authorised agent, and we will verify the request with you before acting on it. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

The categories of personal information we collect are listed in section 2, the categories of recipients in section 3, and the retention periods in section 2. We collect this information directly from you when you order, contact us or subscribe.

9. Other states

Residents of states with their own consumer privacy statutes – including Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Virginia – have comparable rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and profiling. We extend the same process to every customer regardless of where they live. Email us and we will handle it the same way.

10. Children

The store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

Our service providers may process data on servers in the United States and, in Stripe’s case, in other countries where it operates. Where data leaves the country you are in, it is protected by the provider’s contractual commitments and security controls.

12. Complaints

There is no single federal privacy regulator in the United States. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first – we would rather fix it. You may also complain to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov, or, if you are a California resident, to the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. Material changes are announced on the homepage for 30 days.
