Cookie Policy

Lawnower uses a small number of cookies. The ones that make the cart and checkout work are always on; everything else is only set after you agree in the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise your device on the next page or the next visit. Some cookies disappear when you close the browser (session cookies); others stay for a set period (persistent cookies). Similar technologies such as local storage work the same way and are covered by this policy.

2. The consent banner

Our banner is run by Complianz. On your first visit it asks whether you accept cookies beyond the strictly necessary ones. Nothing optional is set until you choose, and refusing has no effect on your ability to browse, order or contact us.

Complianz groups cookies into three categories:

• Functional – always on. These make the site work: the shopping cart, the checkout session, the security token and the record of your own cookie choice.
• Statistics – optional. Aggregated counts of which pages are visited, used only to see what people look at.
• Marketing / preferences – optional. We do not currently run any advertising or tracking cookies in this category; the option stays in the banner so that nothing could ever be added without your consent.

To review or withdraw your consent, click Cookie settings in the footer. The banner reopens with your current choices and you can change them in one click.

If we ever add a statistics or marketing cookie it will appear in this table before it is used, and it will only be set after you accept that category.

4. Third parties

Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout page to detect fraudulent payments. These are strictly necessary for taking a payment safely and are covered by Stripe’s privacy policy. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels or social media trackers on this site.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

Independently of our banner, every browser lets you block or delete cookies – look under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the cart and checkout, so the store will not work properly if you do.

6. Do Not Track

There is no agreed standard for how sites should respond to a browser Do Not Track signal. We do not track visitors across other websites at all, so there is nothing for the signal to switch off.

8. Changes

If the cookies we use change, we update this page and the date at the top. Adding a new optional cookie also resets the banner so that you are asked again.
