The Trailhead does the work a mower cannot reach: the strip along a fence, the base of a mailbox post, the awkward wedge behind a shed. A brushless 40V motor swings a 16 in. cutting swath on 0.080 in. twisted line, and the straight aluminium shaft keeps the head where you point it instead of wandering the way a curved shaft does.
The head is bump-feed, so a tap on the ground pays out more line without stopping. Flip the head 90 degrees and the guard becomes an edging skid, which turns the same tool into an edger for the line between lawn and path. Speed is variable on the trigger, with a high setting for thick growth and a low one that stretches the battery through a long session of light work.
It shares the 40V pack with the Ridgeline mower, the Hedgerow hedge trimmer and the Gustwind blower. A 4.0Ah pack and charger are included, and the auxiliary loop handle slides along the shaft to suit your height.

Care
Wear eye protection – a trimmer throws grit further than you expect. Remove the battery before you refill the line or clear a jam. Pull the guard off and brush the packed grass out of the head after each session; wet clippings left in there set hard and stop the line feeding.
