The Ridgeline is the mower for a small yard: 47 lb, a 17 in. deck that fits through a 24 in. side gate, and a handle that folds down far enough to stand the machine on end in a shed corner. It runs the same 40V pack as our string trimmer, hedge trimmer and blower, so one spare battery covers four tools.
A brushless motor gives it more bite than the weight suggests. On an average city lawn a single 4.0Ah pack cuts around 35 minutes, which is roughly 3,000 square feet of ordinary grass. Cut height runs from 1 to 3 in. across five positions on one lever, and the machine bags, mulches or side-discharges without any extra parts to buy.
Everything you need is in the box – the 40V 4.0Ah pack, the charger and the mulching plug. There is no pull cord, no oil, no fuel to stabilise over winter, and nothing to service beyond the blade.

Care
Take the battery out before tipping the mower or reaching under the deck. Brush the clippings off the underside after each cut and check the blade bolt is tight at the start of the season. Sharpen the blade once a year and store the pack indoors at about half charge through the winter.
